Law enforcement kissing up to facial recognition technology

My friend Steve recently reviewed this interesting article.  My guess is that the government will be spending billions of dollars on facial recognition hardware and software to protect us from the omnipresent bad guys.  However, even the dumbest bad guys are already thinking a few steps ahead of big brother and Big Sis.
