Skeet tastes like chicken

You know, after this prolonged media honeymoon period, the silliest damn thing for the press to finally challenge Obama with is whether he shoots skeet “all of the time.”

To my knowledge, not one of these hard charging “journalists” bothered to ask the POTUS, “What in all thundering tarnation does shooting skeet have to do with pending gun-ban legislation and The Second Amendment?”

I think the sub-text is that what are the traditional hunting rifles and shotguns are ok and are VERY AMERICAN, as is POTUS.

CNN started in today on "the real killer: handguns" with pictures of a pile of revolvers and at least one derringer, probably a meltdown pile, though it looked like maybe a Python or Anaconda in that pile and I did see a couple of Smiths in the picture.

I was reminding a friend about the 1968 Omnibus Crime Control Act, which as you well know banned foreign guns like the PPK and set ridiculous specs that resulting in guns like the Browning .380 "Target" model with adjustable sights. Even then, when .380 was cheaper and plentiful, it was like "phew".

One of the things I agree with in the pro-gun movement is that they will try to ban as many guns as possible and any hi cap firearm.

I would bet good money that the lowly .22 is still one of the leading contenders in handgun homicides, with the 9mm and .40 being big in the cities. I'd love to see a breakdown on the frequency of the known caliber usuage is this large number of shootings they're touting in the CNN article.

Don't forget how Obama's appointee to SCOTUS, Judge Sotomeyer, spent part of the early 90's: helping to draft the Clinton anti-gun legislation.
