A possible farewell to our Australian friends

My guess is that our playground on Al Gore’s interwebz will be seeing a great deal more of this filtering. While understanding the initial intent of their internet filter, my concern is that it will soon extend to gun sites, political activists, “malcontents”, and others who do not fit into the ideal of what their government sees as a just and polite society. Without exercising exquisite care, it is hard to sort gravel from spilled grits without losing much of what is nourishing.

Yeah, I know that the politics of Australia is really none of my business, but Aussies are such great people that it just would not be the same here in the USA without them. My hope is that the filter does not close them off from the rest of the online world.
