Count me out of AARP

My long-term membership has expired and I choose not to renew.

I am a numbers guy and never found their “products” (which are in name only) to be bargains. 

Money does move our political world so I am researching other senior citizen related lobby groups that may be more agreeable to my sensibilities.

Good point that needs to be repeated. For that reason I never joined. There are other organizations that offer the same benefits and are more honest.

They actively support unarmed seniors because they're too doddering and feeble to protect themselves!

We dropped out of AARP when they came out in support of Obamacare. It was clear they were negotiating in their own interests, at the expense of their membership. Neither AARP, nor any affiliates, will get a dime of our retirement money!
