The Kimber Vagina .380 fills a niche market

Ban Vagina Guns!  Only the police and the military should have vagina guns.

I tell ya, this redefines "Saturday Night Special."  If the gun had accidently fired ... would the hospital have listed it as a case of vaginal discharge?

The news report did not detail if the loaded pistol was cocked and locked or which direction the muzzle was pointing.

With a well designed vagina-carry holster, this probably is not as difficult as it sounds; Chic Gaylord probably offered them "off catalog" back in the early 1960s.

AFTER TORONTO ATTACK CCRKBA ASKS IF VEHICLES ARE ‘ASSAULT WEAPONS’

BELLEVUE, WA – Following Monday’s mass mayhem in Toronto that saw ten people killed and 15 others injured by a madman driving a rental van, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is challenging authorities and the liberal media to start using the term “assault vehicle” or simply call these killing machines “assault weapons.”

“What happened in Toronto Monday was a horrible tragedy,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Fatal vehicle attacks have been increasing. The 2016 Nice terror attack killed more than 80 people. Last year a man driving a rental truck killed eight people on a bicycle path in New York City. Also last year, 13 people were killed in Barcelona, eight more died in a car attack in London and four were killed in Stockholm. If a gun had been the weapon instead of a vehicle, all of those would have been mass shootings.

“How should we define an ‘assault vehicle,’” he wondered. “Is it a van or truck? Does it have a high-powered engine? Does it have an automatic transmission? Can it be fitted with a high capacity fuel tank? Do they all come in solid black, or are other colors available? Can they be equipped with large mufflers to suppress engine noise? Once we define them, should we ban them, require special training to operate them, or just raise the age limit to buy or rent one?
“Or is the problem the individual driver, rather than the equipment he turns into a weapon,” Gottlieb challenged. “Once you realize how absurd it is to call a car an ‘assault vehicle,’ you see the lunacy of defining, and then banning, so-called ‘assault rifles.’

“Instead,” he suggested, “we need to focus the blame where it belongs, on the deranged, violent person who commits the violent act. We don’t reflexively demonize every other motorist for the acts of a madman, so why do some people insist on penalizing every gun owner for the acts of criminals?

“The time has come to stop this blame-shifting nonsense,” Gottlieb said. “It is deceptive and dishonest, and doesn’t prevent or solve anything.”

Glock 19 Gen4 range session at Caliber Gun Range in Waukegan, Illinois

Three-months into this new year and this is the first time that I have gone shooting.

It has been over five-months since I last went shooting.

Fifteen-months have come and gone since I last did a range session with this Generation-4 Glock 19. (Cough), ahem, well, yeah I guess it has been a while.  Life and laziness set my priorities.

I set modest goals and limits for this refresher session.
1) Be safe and have fun
3) Work on fundamentals, focus, and my trigger reset.
4) String the shots together as fast as accuracy and range etiquette allows.
5) Keep all shots inside the 9-ring or better.
6) Limit my old aching hands to firing 45-rounds (3-magazines) of +P+ carry ammo.

Caliber Gun Range (formerly known as GTR Sporting Club) in Waukegan was today's choice.

My preferred 9mm carry ammo was used for all of today's session.

I put a new Magpul into the Glock 19 carry magazine rotation.  Time will tell.

All targets were reasonably equal to those used for Illinois concealed carry qualification.

The first target was set at my farthest distance for this session, 30-feet.  I tossed one round into the 8-ring which ended my session quest to score all shots as 9 or better.

The second target, set at 21-feet, saw me tighten things up but I pushed one round low.

The third and final target was set at 15-feet, the closest distance for this session.

This target is from ~15-months ago.  Yellow tape was used to mark three target zones.
15-feet are the head shots
21-feet are the chest shots
30-feet are the center-of-mass shots

At 15-feet and 21-feet I am about equal now to what I was shooting then.
At 30-feet is where my rustiness shows the most.

Practice makes better, not perfect.

So, the press had the YouTube shooter story completely wrong

It had nothing to do with a domestic dispute.    Just a profoundly troubled nut-job that took all of this online shit far too seriously.

Hell, I'm having trouble fathoming any of this.   How does a multi-$Billion$ outfit explain the total lack of site security?   We live in a world of countless nutball terrorists looking for soft targets and this outfit has what amounted to no site security at all.  The nut-job's lack of skill with a handgun was the foremost life saver.

I pray for the innocents.   I sincerely do.

I am tired of the Goliaths that misuse the Internet

I never signed on to Facebook.  They want far too much personal information and they have a dictatorial set of rules that I refuse to agree to.

For a while I could not find information on local businesses or our local government entities because each saw fit to do all of their online communications via Facebook.  Anyone not a member of Facebook was out of the loop.  Fortunately, most of our local government agencies have returned to maintaining websites.  Businesses that want my money had better be marketing their goods or services on something other than Facebook.

Google is restricting traffic to sites that do not meet their ambiguously fluid corporate rules and political views.  Google's measure isn't that postings simply must be legal, Google's measure is an unpredictable, arbitrary, corporate / political taste du jour.   So be it.   As of now I am terminating my participation in Google+, a creation that was once thought of as having the potential to be "Facebook done right."  It failed.  After this blog entry, I will no longer  be "sharing" anything I find of interest to Google+.   Since I already removed YouTube from my list of places to visit I will henceforth refuse to click on any YouTube link sent to me via email.

Acting as one humble human choosing to piss against an ill wind, I've been doing almost all of my web searches using the Duck Duck Go search engine.  Over half of my online surfing presence currently is via the Tor browser.  "We the people" are the product that the internet behemoths sell for $Billions.   Google, Facebook, Apple, Yahoo, and all of the others need to learn NOT to piss off "the product."  We don't have to comply.  For example, I will never buy from Amazon until I can do so as a "guest" without opening an account.  Not a single dime of my money ever went to Amazon.

I've been online since the early days of the Bulletin Board Systems and 300-baud modems.  I didn't toe any lines back then and I am not about to kiss any ass at this late stage of my life.

I'll be keeping this obscure blog site going for as long as I find doing so to be more personally-entertaining than I find Google to be exasperating.
