Yeah, I know that it is designed to cause less wear and tear on pistol barrels than ammo with copper jacketed slugs, but is there some possibility that Federal's Syntech would be also be more kind and gentle to aluminum feed ramps?

This ammo design is somewhat intriguing.  

I ordered 200-rounds of the Syntech 230-grain ball (above) and 100-rounds of the Syntech 205-grain segmented hollow point (below) to evaluate as potential frequent-fodder for my Colt Defender.
