Although the grandmothers of these kids are very cool, my grandmothers were cooler.
Using simple garden hoes, both would chop the heads off of copperheads and rattlesnakes, both could pluck and dress out a chicken or a duck in the blink of an eye (same with skinning and gutting a rabbit or a squirrel), and with just a cheap single-shot .22 rifle, either could shoot the head off of a marauding hawk as it was swooping in for a barnyard kill.
