Mew flu outbreak in Lake County, Illinois?
My daughter called this morning to tell me that one of her cats was sneezing, had watery eyes, and could only breathe through his mouth. She later took the cat to the local veterinarian who said it had been a very strange day; there had been ten cats brought in so far with the exact same symptoms. The vet said that he had called the other vets in the area and they all said that they were seeing the same thing.
So far, the two cats who allow me to live in this house have no symptoms.
Greetings from Texas,
ReplyDeleteThe local vet loves us. We are always finding something that need's help. Like most country folk we have indoor and outdoor cats. Most recently one of the Outdoor cats, Holloween, failed to come home leaving us with four unweened kittens. We saved three of them, and of course got attached to them in the process. One had no "indoor manners" so became an outdoor cat again. Even with putting her out we have five of the furry thugs in the house through no fault of my own.
To date my wife won't let them throw me out.
Hi Arthur, great to hear from you again. Yeah, the little buggers can be expensive. My daughter has five cats in her house, (she claims one, her mother claims two, and my granddaugher the other two). I sometimes have to subsize their vet biils ;) My wife claims the two cats that own our house. I'm just glad we don't live in out in the country or she would have a hundred cats running around.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Zack
