To those days gone by

As I grow ever older, it is more difficult for me to remember those profound people, places, and events that molded me during my younger years.

Here is a year-end toast to those fading memories. Promising never to forget was a vow I could not keep.

  1. I understand this circumstance. Lately, the older I'm getting, the more I'm remembering people and stories from my past that I knew I'd never forget.

    I don't think we really forget these people and milestones. I will come across a photograph, or a knife or belt in my collection, and it takes me back to another time. Like El Fisho, it happens more all the time.
