(This is my
LWS .32 ACP. There are many like it, but this one is mine.)
A psychiatrist, a caseworker, and an outpatient have a
meeting in a typical medical-center setting. The meeting goes very sour and the patient becomes confrontational. He pulls a .32
caliber revolver (an old Iver Johnson according to
THIS ARTICLE) and executes (murders) the caseworker with shots to her head. The patient then turns his gunfire toward the
psychiatrist, wounding the doctor as he is diving for cover. The doctor pulls a small pistol from his pocket and returns fire, emptying his
.32 caliber Seecamp semi-auto, wounding the murderous patient three times, twice
critically. Two other staff members then wrestle the rather large and still ambulatory patient down, take control of his revolver, and hold him for police.

I guess the guy didn't read the sign that said he had to check his gun. The picture of the swat team marching outside the hospital reminded me of the wisdom that when you have seconds the police are only minutes away.

Word I read was that law enforcement held the doctor's action in high regard.
ReplyDeleteAmazing that (anti-gun) "experts" say only 1 in 4 mass murderers had a previous history of mental illness - as if to say they were perfectly healthy! Duh
ReplyDeleteI also liked the statement "There's a sign on the door that says you have to check your weapons at the front," she said. "But you can't expect every crazy person to do that."
That pretty much says it all. Crazy people (and criminals) don't obey laws.
