Since late 1989 Chicagoans have waited to crown someone with the title of "Chili-Dog Thug"

Back in late 1989 and early 1990 the Chicago Transit Authority funded radio and print ads warning "hoodlums, marauders, and chili-dog thugs" against committing crimes on Chicago mass transit ... well, mostly the campaign was political propaganda aiming to quell citizen unrest.  Anyhoo, nobody on this earth could be found that had ever before heard the street term "chili-dog thug."  Below is a clip from the Chicago Tribune archives:

FINALLY, here in the fledgling weeks of 2017,  A CHILI-DOG THUG was arrested in FLORIDA!
