UPDATE / CORRECTION 11/26/2019: I just got off the phone with Ann at BCO. Lefty Lewis is still working and is doing ok health wise (IIRC, he has fought back from a heart attack and a couple of strokes in recent years). A key artisan / coworker was the one that had a catastrophic health issue that was headlined on the BCO Website. My prayers are still sincere and for everyone at BCO.

Retired NYC Lawman / businessman / leather artisan / outdoorsman / gun aficionado / animal lover / author / B.E. “Lefty" Lewis has lived a long and storied life and had FINALLY started recounting those adventures and accomplishments to a biographer. Sadly, if one is busy living an encyclopedic life it can be a race against nature to put even just the highlights of it to pen. Lefty’s stories were being transcribed as a work in progress to the BCO website page but today it all has been replaced by an announcement thatLefty has suffered yet another severe health setback .
