A Recent and Remarkable Welcome Home to a Missing U.S. Air Force Pilot (KIA - Vietnam - 1967)

A remarkable homecoming for a US Air Force pilot killed during the Vietnam war. In 1967, a five-year-old boy, along with his mother, said goodbye to his father who was headed to Vietnam where he would fly a USAF warplane. Before that same year was over, that very pilot had been shot down over Laos where his remains were undiscovered until recently. As it turns out, that pilot’s remains were finally recovered and recently flown back to Dallas. The Southwest Airlines pilot flying that aircraft was none other than that five-year-old boy who, back in 1967, said farewell to his Vietnam-bound father. This is a remarkable homecoming, indeed. Blessings to our downed USAF warrior...may he rest in peace. Blessings to his family…may they find now find healing and true peace at last.
