A reasonable accommodation would be for stadiums to use multiple entrances, require spectators to wear masks (even between sips of beer), limit ticket sales, and space the seating out. Post health and etiquitte signs. Continually warn the at risk (seniors and those with underlying health problems; I qualify on both counts) that crowds are bad for their health. Same for Little League Baseball; let the leagues and the parents decide.Look, I'm not a sports fan so I really don't care what the Cubs or the Sox do BUT I'm old enough to remember many of the times since the 1950s when citizens of the USA went totally berserk because the "gubmint" collectively decided to "exert authority for the greater good." Rule #1: DON'T PISS OFF THE PEOPLE! You govern only by consent of the people; the collective "gubmint" keeps forgetting they are on a tightrope.
Fauci et al need to include the people in the decision making process or all unholy hell is going to break loose. He's had his say. Now it is time for him and others to listen to the people.
"P L A Y BALL!"
