IMHO, during my long lifetime the only Mayor of Chicago who was worth a damn was Harold Washington. He genuinely loved Chicago and he genuinely loved each and every citizen. The boxing skills he learned during his youth were well suited for his tenure as mayor. He knew when to throw a punch politically and he knew when he had to take a punch and shake it off. Suited for the challenges of the office, he was taken from us far too soon; RIP.
