Although it is not an exhaustive amount, I feel that it is noteworthy that this little 1998 vintage Colt Defender .45 has (thus far) digested 57-rounds of the 205-grain Syntech Jacketed Hollow Point without fail. This load has been a real pleasure to shoot.
Of the 280-rounds of sundry ball and hollow point ammo from different manufacturers that I have put through this pistol, only the 205-grain SJHP has a perfect record. I have 43-rounds left from the original 100-round purchase and I have set them aside as potential self-defense loads for use with this pistol (at least until the political insanity induced ammo buying panic subsides and the manufacturers get caught up).
It is unlikely that there will be any further substantial shake-down range sessions with this pistol until the world simmers the hell down.
