Rest in peace.
John lived in the Manor subdivision on Pine Tree Row. We were fishing buddies until our high school days when cars and girls and other social distractions set it. This old photo is from June of 1965. John (the one on the left; I'm the bespectacled geek holding the bass) and I were very close to being the same age (very near to being 13-years-old at the time of the photo). He was an all around great guy and he loved the outdoors. I doubt that anyone who knew him could ever say a bad thing about John. He was a very special human being.
Yesterday I ran across the above link by chance. I found it to be very sad news.
Knowing John during those early years is a treasure that I will keep for the remainder of my days.
My condolences to his family.
