After a 5-month hiatus I took an opportunity to go shooting

Not the results I was hoping for but I wasn't surprised; it had been 5-months without range-time or me even making the time in the "cold-range" portion of the basement to do dry-fire drills. Sometimes life (and senior-citizen lethargy) gets in the way.

My head and heart were not into making this range trip; my allergies had my head and sinuses all messed up. I had to make a run to the veterinarian's office to pick up some meds for Freak the cat and that trip was going to put me within a mile of the shooting range. I decided to pack the old Colt Combat Commander into the range bag and take the kit along for the ride.

Distance for each target was 21-feet (7-yards; 6.4-meters).

I had lost my "feel" for the pistol since my last range visit. Nothing felt "natural" or "instinctive". After frustrating myself on the first target (the one on the left) I decided to just relax, shoot a wee-bit faster and work on some double-taps with the second target (the one on the right).

56-rounds total for the session; 28-rounds on each target (4 x 7-round mags ea target).

Thank you 5 Star Firearms for the great shooting range and all of the other gunslinging goodness.
