Maine doesn't have RED FLAG laws but those laws don't seem to work very well elsewhere.
Maine DOES allow concealed carry but (thus far) I have found no news about anyone exchanging gunfire with the murderer during his spree.

Maine has "yellow flag" laws. Their version of red flag laws. They ignored them. This man was a glaring obvious risk. So risky that he was locked away in a mental facility for evaluation after openly threatening to commit mass murder and stating he heard voices in his head. Yet they released him...and LET HIM KEEP HIS GUNS. This was DELIBERATE. The criminals in power want these mass shootings. They will keep facilitating these events till they achieve their goal. Total disarmament of the entire country.
