Hundreds of shots fired during wild Texas shootout. Nobody injured.

Husband and wife Texas bloggers Art and Helen Burnett recently gave a participatory live-fire gun seminar for writers. Handguns, rifles, and shotguns featured were those of the type used by heroes and villains during the 1920s and 1930s. Art has a collection of guns that would give Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley apoplexy.

Stressing safety first, Art and Helen’s events give people a chance to shoot different types of firearms and are immense fun and very educational. Helen’s sacrificial Ford Festiva is evidence that cars offer only marginal protection against bullets.
