A hug triggers a holstered handgun


A Detroit woman was celebrating her birthday.  She hugs a guy (an off-duty cop) from behind and things went tragically wrong.

“The woman "embraced the officer from behind, causing the holstered weapon to accidently discharge." The bullet punctured Miller's lung and hit her heart, and she died at a hospital.”

I would love to read further information (facts, not speculation) on this incident, especially details about the gun and holster.

    Shoulder holster I assume...not that I'm an expert but most of those that I've seen cover the trigger reasonably well, how in the world would a hug set that off??
