There is a Fifth Rule of Firearms Safety that some states and / or municipalities have attempted to codify. Above is a sign that Illinois (may have) required gun stores to post (it was in the foyer of a gun store so I took a snapshot).
"My advice to you is to get yourself a gun and learn how to use it.”
