I don't know if it's plotting to take over the world as much as it is plotting to line their pockets with the taxpayers' money. I guess the two go hand in hand. There are a couple of politicians out there that I kind of like, but I subscribe to the idea that thinking any politician has your best interests in mind is like thinking the stripper likes you.
I kinda think you are right-on about the money thing being more of a seduction than is the intoxication of power, and that power and money likely do go hand in hand for many of them.
I am cynical enough to think the Ukraine thing is a war between the Biden Crime Family and the Putin Crime Family --- but that could be because I'm a product of Chicago ;)
How many U.S. politicians have financial accounts inside the Ukraine?
And before the Russian invasion made Ukraine a lovable, spunky little underdog, it was the most corrupt country in Europe. Kinda makes you wonder where all those weapons are going to end up. How many of them are being used to fight the Russians, and how many will be, or already have been, sold, either on the black market or directly to terrorist groups and drug cartels? Like you, I'm a product of Chicago. Most people I know here in Not Chicago have a better (read: more naive) opinion of their fellow hominids than I do.

Just where is all that U.S aid money going?
