OH YEAH!
Shorts, sandals, and sunglasses!
I gots me some long overdue front-patio skin-tingling noontime-sunshine goodness.
Had to have me a strong dose of nature's solar vitamin.
Sat in the sunlight, cleared my mind, and simply savored each passing minute.
No negative vibes allowed.
No news radio,
No interwebz.
No cellphone.
Just the blue sky and the fresh air.
The daffodils and some of the other perennials are peeking out of the ground.
Better days are on the way.

As a longtime resident of Fatmanistan, you surely know better. I remember walking down Wabash Avenue in Chicago one January 31 (I forget the year) and seeing on a bank sign that it was 70 degrees out. Two days later, on Groundhog Day, we had a sleet storm. Need I tell you about the Valentine's Day snowstorm of 1990-something, or the April snowstorm of 1980-something? And remember, the groundhog saw his shadow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your 53-degree day, but don't put away the snow shovel.
Points well taken! Remember the "incidents" when the weather service would keep forecasting "partly cloudy" until we had 18-inches of snow on the ground before they changed the forecast?
DeleteOver all, better here than Minnesota ;)

Hey now, what about MN? ;) Yard looks good. You'll be mowing soon!
DeleteHey David!
DeleteDunno how anyone can tolerate winter any distance north of here; I'm not tough enough mentally of physically. Good Lord Willing, we're gonna be spending winters down in alligator territory soon and return to these parts just for the mowin' and flowerin' season.
Take care man!
