It's supposed to be a Diamondback. Have you ever searched imfdb.org? There's lots of good info there.

Hey Michael, thanks for the input. imfdb.org is where (I think) I swiped the photo of the revolver in its holster.

I'm also pretty sure that it is a Diamondback, but the BW movie poster looks like they may have used the larger Python for that shot.

I'm just having fun with trivia.
