ReplyDeleteI only wish I found this surprising. In Texas a few years ago there was a not so secret dumping of prison population. State officals insisted it had nothing to do with the state income tax being voted down again.
That sheriff in with the tents everybody hates is starting to be my hero.

ReplyDeleteThis is the prisoner release program that they did not want us to know about ... there is also the release program whereby "non-violent" offenders within a few weeks of the end of their original sentence were being released.
This "secret" program is a revolving door which includes releasing some pretty bad dudes, almost within days of them being locked up.
Ah well, as you said, it is no surprise for any of us.
