There has been a large number of first-time gun owners over the past few months. We want to ensure they have the means to handle their firearm in a safe and effective manner. 

This month we are offering a number of beginner classes that will cover the basics for pistol, rifle, and shotgun owners, as well as a new course for people entirely new to firearms. 

We will also be holding some Concealed Carry renewal & Chaotic Pistol courses. 
*New* Beginners Classes:
Beginner's Guide to Firearms in Illinois

The Beginner's Guide class will be 45 minutes in the classroom and cover a variety of topics. There will also be time for questions at the end. This class is completely free, but is currently limited to 12 people per class, RSVP is required.


Some of the topics that will be covered: 
  • What is a FOID card & How do I get one? 
  • What do I need to get with my new firearm?
  • What are the steps to getting a Concealed Carry License?
We are launching a series of Intro classes to teach beginners about firearms responsibility, safety, and proper shooting technique. Each intro class includes 1 hour of classroom discussion and up to an hour on the range.

Intro to Shotgun
A FOID Card is NOT required to take these courses.

  • Promotion and demonstration on the safe handling of guns on the range
  • Proper grip, sight picture, stance, breathing, and trigger control
  • Live fire practice on our Training Range.
  • How to deal with guns in the home

Chaotic Pistol:
Chaotic Pistol is a top level program for those who have completed our Defensive Pistol program. Each month the scenario changes and you will use the techniques learned in other classes in the program. One month it may be shooting at moving targets or shooting from a seated position; next month it may be shooting behind a barricade in the dark.

Our store is temporarily closed on Mondays.
Following Gov. Pritzker's exeuctive order, everyone is required to wear a face covering while inside the store. A mask is available for purchase upon request.

We are still taking extra precautions to keep our customers and employees safe. In addition to face coverings, we ask that you keep 6 feet distance from others wherever possible. We are constantly working to keep our store clean by sanitizing high-contact surfaces throughout the day.
